What is the Scoop Plate Hi-Lo?

The Scoop Plate Hi-Lo from Performance Health is a piece of special feeding equipment for children or adults who require some extra assistance while eating. The plate is designed with a lip that helps the user to push food onto the fork or spoon. This provides greater control when using one hand, reducing the risk of spilling food over the edge of the plate.

This dish is ideal for people who have the use of only one hand, and for those with limited mobility, weak hand grip, motor coordination, neurological disorders or ataxia.

The gradually sloping dish has a curved vertical wall that surrounds 2/3 of the plate, making it easy to guide the food onto the cutlery without it falling off the plate. The entry wall is 1.3 cm at the lowest point and gradually slopes upward to 3.8 cm.

The lightweight plate made from break-proof plastic has a non-slip rubber-coated base securing the dish to the table.

Its ergonomic design also allows for it to be placed at an angle to create a better eating experience.
